Some applications demand greater output force than possible with a conventional cylinder. That’s why we offer a full range of high-power actuators to complement our comprehensive actuator lineup. Highlights include the Hi-Power™ family with long strokes versus overall length to achieve maximum space efficiency, and the Multi-Power® family designed with multiple pistons attached to a single rod to deliver tremendous thrust forces.
We also offer series that conform to NFPA specifications to give you the convenience of interchangeability. For applications requiring hydraulic performance, the HHD Series 3,000 psi-rated actuator is especially suitable for heavy duty applications, and our Air-Oil Tanks provide hydraulic-type motion control along with smooth speed and good rigidity. We can also enhance your assembly operations with desktop and portable crimpers that boost productivity and reduce operator fatigue.
Fabco-Air 300 Series pneumatic power tools automate the crimp installation process. Available as handheld or bench-mounted units, these pneumatic power tools allow users to crimp quickly and create uniformly repeatable, reliable connections, time after time with less fatigue. The result: quality assembly and increased productivity.
Our crimping tools operate using 85 to 150 psi pneumatic pressure, and custom jaws are available as specials. The 300 Series is available in two models:
Model BCT-300 Bench Mount Tool With Control Box
This bench-mounted model is actuated by a foot-operated control box. Foot pressure opens the jaws to load the workpiece and closes them to hold the part securely. A second valve actuates a force-multiplying pneumatic cylinder to power the jaw to the closed position to crimp, swage, cut or perform a variety of other operations. An adjustable pressure sensing valve can create various closing jaw forces.
Model PHT-300 Portable Tool
Delivering the same power as the bench mount model, this lightweight, handheld tool runs on shop air pressure and accommodates the various jaws required for the job. A white button at the top of the handle operates the jaws to receive and hold the parts, and dual triggers allow left or right hand gloveless operation. PHT-300 is also ergonomically balanced at the triggers, making it easy to use with less operator fatigue.
FJU multi-mount cylinders are designed to provide mounting flexibility and convenience. These small, lightweight units save space, while their rectangular design creates mounting surfaces on the rod end, cap end, sides and bottom. They also include four extruded slots for sensor mounting on the top or bottom of the cylinder. Each unit comes with a standard piston, or customers can select a magnetic sensor for position sensing. Available with bore diameters from 6 to 32 millimeters and strokes from 5 to 50 millimeters, these cylinders are interchangeable with popular competitor devices for additional convenience. The FJU Series also includes a non-rotating version:
FJUK Series Multi-Mount Cylinders
The FJUK Series is appropriate for applications where anti-rotation and registration are critical as the piston extends and retracts, making the cylinders well-suited for package placement and figure stamping. FJUK cylinders offer all the standard features of the FJU Series plus a guide block securely attached to the piston rod, with a steel guide shaft attached to the guide block ensuring less than 0.8 degrees of rotation.
SC, FML and FHL swing clamps offer pneumatic or hydraulic operation, depending on the series, and several action types. Durable SC Series double-acting swing clamps provide a standard magnetic piston for position sensing plus workpiece protection features. The SC Series’ clamp arm has a built-in adjusting bolt, while the FML and FMH Series are available with either a single- or double-sided clamp arm.
The clamp arm extends in a straight line away from the workpiece to provide plenty of space to load or unload the part. The arm can rotate 90 degrees to full extension, and it swings 90 degrees when retracting. Customers can choose Model Code R for clockwise and Model Code L for counterclockwise rotation. When the clamp arm is positioned over the workpiece, it follows a straight-line path to apply the clamping force.
SC Series swing clamps operate with compressed air or petroleum-based hydraulic fluid, the FML Series uses compressed air and the FHL Series is a hydraulic model.
When your design demands the most efficient use of space, Hi-Power cylinders are an ideal choice. Featuring tie rod construction, these double-acting, single rod cylinders are designed to provide the longest possible stroke versus their overall length. They also come in several mounting styles.
Additional features include a hard-anodized aluminum interior and exterior, hard chrome-plated stainless steel piston rods to ensure reliable operation and pre-lubrication with Magnalube-G® grease for long life. Hi-Power cylinders come in 10 bore sizes from 1 ⅛ to 12 inches and are available with strokes up to 12 inches. Air pressure is up to 250 psi, and maximum hydraulic service is 500 psi. The Hi-Power cylinder family is available in the following series:
HP Series Hi-Power Cylinders
The series is offered with 1/4 inch stroke increments up to four inches.
THP Series Hi-Power Cylinders
Available with 1/4 inch stroke increments through four inches and one inch increments from five through 12 inches, THP Series cylinders incorporate a PTFE piston bearing for effective load support and longer strokes.
UHP Series Hi-Power Cylinders
In addition to a PTFE piston for load support and long strokes, UHP Series cylinders include Buna-N U-cup seals for low break-away. They offer ¼ inch stroke increments through four inches and one inch increments from five through 12 inches.
The 14, M14, and 34 Series directional control valves feature a lightweight short stroke Delrin® spool for a fast and reliable response. These valves are suitable for vacuum directional flow applications, but not for holding vacuum applications. Selected models of the 14 Series can also be stacked to save money and space.
Available with the following actuations:
- Air pilot
- Rod actuator
- Roller cam
- Small palm button
- Large palm button
- Panel mount button
- Hand lever
- Single and double solenoid
Also available in 3-position models.
The FVA and FVEC Series of air pilot and solenoid valves are high-flow valves available with ⅛, ¼, ⅜ and ½ NPT ports in 4-way or 3-way Normally Closed positioning. These valves have multiple options and include 2- and 3-position spools. With manifolds ranging from two to ten stations, there are plenty of customization options available.
The 3953 Series is a compact, stackable version of the 3853 Series. This compact series features fully encapsulated coil, spring compensated plunger seats for long life, and a miniature stackable composite valve body, allowing you to mix-and-match valves to meet your specifications. Available in seven orifice sizes, this valve is offered in both 2-way and 3-way normally open or normally closed functions. With a body constructed from media-compatible DuPont™ Zytel® FE 5105, you can choose between a brass/stainless steel or all stainless steel pilot design along with optional sealing materials and a nylon-encapsulated coil. Our composite material is FDA approved.
